Terms of Service

By accessing or using BuildMyFolio ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

BuildMyFolio is a portfolio creation and management platform. Using the Service, you can:

• Create and customize professional portfolio websites
• Showcase projects, skills, education, and experience
• Manage testimonials and client feedback (upcoming)
• Access premium features through paid subscription plans

You must register with accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at support@buildmyfolio.com.

We offer Portfolio Preview (Free Trial) and Portfolio Starter tiers with monthly or yearly billing. Portfolio Master is coming soon.

All payments are processed securely through Razorpay. We do not store your credit card information on our servers.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before renewal. You are charged at the beginning of each billing period.

We reserve the right to modify prices. Existing subscribers receive 30 days' notice before changes take effect.

You retain all ownership rights to content you upload. You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to everything you post.

By uploading content, you grant BuildMyFolio a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it as part of the Service.

You agree NOT to:

• Post illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory content
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
• Use the Service for spam, phishing, or malicious activities
• Reverse engineer or extract source code from the platform
• Resell or redistribute the Service without written authorization

To maintain a professional and safe environment, BuildMyFolio employs an automated and manual moderation system to monitor content (including but not limited to bios, project descriptions, and profile information).

Our system uses a cumulative warning policy based on the severity of the violation:

• Standard Violations: Content containing inappropriate language, unprofessional behavior, or minor policy breaches will result in a Warning Count increment.
• Threshold: Any account that reaches 5 active warnings will be automatically and permanently banned from the platform.

We reserve the right to immediately and permanently ban any account, without prior warnings, for extreme violations, including:

• Hate speech, harassment, or direct threats.
• Pornographic or sexually explicit content.
• Promotion of illegal activities or severe fraud.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, without prior notice or liability.

Upon termination, access ceases immediately. Your portfolio goes offline. We may retain certain data as required by law.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties. We work hard to keep it reliable but cannot guarantee error-free operation at all times.

We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance may occasionally affect availability.

You are responsible for your actions while using BuildMyFolio. If your activity causes harm or legal consequences for BuildMyFolio or others, you agree to take responsibility and cover related costs or claims.

We may modify these Terms at any time and will notify users of material changes via email or a platform notice.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and Indian Contract Act, 1872.

Any legal proceedings shall be brought exclusively before the competent courts of India.
